I attended medical school in beautiful Costa Rica, where I was born. I then moved to Spain to specialize in ophthalmology at the prestigious Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. During my specialty training, I developed a passion for ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. After finishing my residency, I moved to the United States to complete my training in oculoplastic surgery through a two-year fellowship sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Together with my family, I returned to Costa Rica with the hope to improve my patients’ quality of life, while using the latest surgical techniques in my field. Currently, I run a private practice in San José, Costa Rica.
