Eyelid cysts<\/a> (Hidrocystoma) are fluid-filled lesions that develop on the lid margin or in the corner of the eyes.<\/p>

There may be one or multiple cysts at the same time. The size of the lesions can range from 1mm to 10mm in diameter. Most patients are bothered by the appearance of these lesions.<\/p>

However, some individuals may experience itching, mild pain or constant irritation. Whether for cosmetic concerns or clinical symptoms, these eyelid cysts can be surgically removed with local anesthesia.<\/p>

The surgery is performed in a minor procedure room. The injection of local anesthesia is virtually painless.<\/p>

The hidrocystoma is carefully removed without puncturing the capsule to prevent recurrence. If the patient has multiple eyelid cysts they can be removed at the same time.<\/p>

After removing the cysts, the surgeon applies sutures. These may be absorbable or they may have to me removed at a week.<\/p>

Five days after the operation: The patient has mild swelling but no discomfort.<\/p>
